المطففين

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. وَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ

   ✦1

   Woe to those who give less [than due]

   അളവില്‍ കുറക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് മഹാനാശം

2. ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ

   ✦2

   Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full

   അതായത് ജനങ്ങളോട് അളന്നുവാങ്ങുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ തികച്ചെടുക്കുകയും

3. وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُونَ

   ✦3

   But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss

   ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അളന്നുകൊടുക്കുകയോ തൂക്കികൊടുക്കുകയോ ആണെങ്കില്‍ നഷ്ടം വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌

4. أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ

   ✦4

   Do they not think that they will be resurrected

   അക്കൂട്ടര്‍ വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ലേ; തങ്ങള്‍ എഴുന്നേല്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരാണെന്ന്‌

5. لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ

   ✦5

   For a tremendous Day

   ഭയങ്കരമായ ഒരു ദിവസത്തിനായിട്ട്‌

6. يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

   ✦6

   The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds

   അതെ, ലോകരക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്ക് ജനങ്ങള്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് വരുന്ന ദിവസം

7. كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٖ

   ✦7

   No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen

   നിസ്സംശയം; ദുര്‍മാര്‍ഗികളുടെ രേഖ സിജ്ജീനില്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും

8. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٞ

   ✦8

   And what can make you know what is sijjeen

   സിജ്ജീന്‍ എന്നാല്‍ എന്താണെന്ന് നിനക്കറിയാമോ

9. كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞ

   ✦9

   It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

   എഴുതപ്പെട്ട ഒരു ഗ്രന്ഥമാകുന്നു അത്‌

10. وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

    ✦10

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers

    അന്നേ ദിവസം നിഷേധിച്ചു തള്ളുന്നവര്‍ക്കാകുന്നു നാശം

11. ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

    ✦11

    Who deny the Day of Recompense

    അതായത് പ്രതിഫല നടപടിയുടെ ദിവസത്തെ നിഷേധിച്ചു തള്ളുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌

12. وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ

    ✦12

    And none deny it except every sinful transgressor

    എല്ലാ അതിരുവിട്ടവനും മഹാപാപിയുമായിട്ടുള്ളവനല്ലാതെ അതിനെ നിഷേധിച്ചു തള്ളുകയില്ല

13. إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

    ✦13

    When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples

    അവന്ന് നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങള്‍ ഓതികേള്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ അവന്‍ പറയും; പൂര്‍വ്വികന്‍മാരുടെ ഐതിഹ്യങ്ങളാണെന്ന്‌

14. كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ

    ✦14

    No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning

    അല്ല; പക്ഷെ, അവര്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചുക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില്‍ കറയുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു

15. كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ

    ✦15

    No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned

    അല്ല; തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ അന്നേ ദിവസം അവരുടെ രക്ഷിതാവില്‍ നിന്ന് മറയ്ക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരാകുന്നു

16. ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُواْ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦16

    Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire

    പിന്നീടവര്‍ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന നരകാഗ്നിയില്‍ കടന്നെരിയുന്നവരാകുന്നു

17. ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

    ✦17

    Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny

    പിന്നീട് പറയപ്പെടും; ഇതാണ് നിങ്ങള്‍ നിഷേധിച്ചുതള്ളിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കാര്യം

18. كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ

    ✦18

    No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun

    നിസ്സംശയം; പുണ്യവാന്‍മാരുടെ രേഖ ഇല്ലിയ്യൂനില്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും

19. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ

    ✦19

    And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun

    ഇല്ലിയ്യൂന്‍ എന്നാല്‍ എന്താണെന്ന് നിനക്കറിയുമോ

20. كِتَٰبٞ مَّرۡقُومٞ

    ✦20

    It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

    എഴുതപ്പെട്ട ഒരു രേഖയത്രെ അത്‌

21. يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ

    ✦21

    Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]

    സാമീപ്യം സിദ്ധിച്ചവര്‍ അതിന്‍റെ അടുക്കല്‍ സന്നിഹിതരാകുന്നതാണ്‌

22. إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ

    ✦22

    Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും സുകൃതവാന്‍മാര്‍ സുഖാനുഭവത്തില്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും

23. عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

    ✦23

    On adorned couches, observing

    സോഫകളിലിരുന്ന് അവര്‍ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും

24. تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

    ✦24

    You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure

    അവരുടെ മുഖങ്ങളില്‍ സുഖാനുഭവത്തിന്‍റെ തിളക്കം നിനക്കറിയാം

25. يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِيقٖ مَّخۡتُومٍ

    ✦25

    They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed

    മുദ്രവെക്കപ്പെട്ട ശുദ്ധമായ മദ്യത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് അവര്‍ക്ക് കുടിക്കാന്‍ നല്‍കപ്പെടും

26. خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكٞۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ

    ✦26

    The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete

    അതിന്‍റെ മുദ്ര കസ്തൂരിയായിരിക്കും. വാശി കാണിക്കുന്നവര്‍ അതിന് വേണ്ടി വാശി കാണിക്കട്ടെ

27. وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍ

    ✦27

    And its mixture is of Tasneem

    അതിലെ ചേരുവ തസ്നീം ആയിരിക്കും

28. عَيۡنٗا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ

    ✦28

    A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

    അതായത് സാമീപ്യം സിദ്ധിച്ചവര്‍ കുടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഉറവ് ജലം

29. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَ

    ✦29

    Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും കുറ്റകൃത്യത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പെട്ടവര്‍ സത്യവിശ്വാസികളെ കളിയാക്കി ചിരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു

30. وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ

    ✦30

    And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

    അവരുടെ (സത്യവിശ്വാസികളുടെ) മുമ്പിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ പരസ്പരം കണ്ണിട്ടു കാണിക്കുമായിരുന്നു

31. وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ

    ✦31

    And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

    അവരുടെ സ്വന്തക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചുചെല്ലുമ്പോള്‍ രസിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് അവര്‍ തിരിച്ചുചെല്ലുമായിരുന്നു

32. وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

    ✦32

    And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

    അവരെ (സത്യവിശ്വാസികളെ) അവര്‍ കാണുമ്പോള്‍, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഇക്കൂട്ടര്‍ വഴിപിഴച്ചവര്‍ തന്നെയാണ് എന്ന് അവര്‍ പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു

33. وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ

    ✦33

    But they had not been sent as guardians over them

    അവരുടെ (സത്യവിശ്വാസികളുടെ) മേല്‍ മേല്‍നോട്ടക്കാരായിട്ട് അവര്‍ നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടൊന്നുമില്ല

34. فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ

    ✦34

    So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

    എന്നാല്‍ അന്ന് (ഖിയാമത്ത് നാളില്‍) ആ സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്‍ സത്യനിഷേധികളെ കളിയാക്കി ചിരിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌

35. عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

    ✦35

    On adorned couches, observing

    സോഫകളിലിരുന്ന് അവര്‍ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും

36. هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ

    ✦36

    Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do

    സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍ ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നതിന് അവര്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടുവോ എന്ന്‌
