بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَٰشِيَةِ

   ✦1

   Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]

   (നബിയേ,) ആ മൂടുന്ന സംഭവത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച വര്‍ത്തമാനം നിനക്ക് വന്നുകിട്ടിയോ

2. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ

   ✦2

   [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled

   അന്നേ ദിവസം ചില മുഖങ്ങള്‍ താഴ്മകാണിക്കുന്നതും

3. عَامِلَةٞ نَّاصِبَةٞ

   ✦3

   Working [hard] and exhausted

   പണിയെടുത്ത് ക്ഷീണിച്ചതുമായിരിക്കും

4. تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ

   ✦4

   They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire

   ചൂടേറിയ അഗ്നിയില്‍ അവ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌

5. تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ

   ✦5

   They will be given drink from a boiling spring

   ചുട്ടുതിളക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഉറവില്‍ നിന്ന് അവര്‍ക്കു കുടിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്‌

6. لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ

   ✦6

   For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

   ളരീഇല്‍ നിന്നല്ലാതെ അവര്‍ക്ക് യാതൊരു ആഹാരവുമില്ല

7. لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ

   ✦7

   Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger

   അത് പോഷണം നല്‍കുകയില്ല. വിശപ്പിന് ശമനമുണ്ടാക്കുകയുമില്ല

8. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ

   ✦8

   [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure

   ചില മുഖങ്ങള്‍ അന്നു തുടുത്തു മിനുത്തതായിരിക്കും

9. لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ

   ✦9

   With their effort [they are] satisfied

   അവയുടെ പ്രയത്നത്തെപ്പറ്റി തൃപ്തിയടഞ്ഞവയുമായിരിക്കും

10. فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ

    ✦10

    In an elevated garden

    ഉന്നതമായ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍

11. لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةٗ

    ✦11

    Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech

    അവിടെ യാതൊരു നിരര്‍ത്ഥകമായ വാക്കും അവര്‍ കേള്‍ക്കുകയില്ല

12. فِيهَا عَيۡنٞ جَارِيَةٞ

    ✦12

    Within it is a flowing spring

    അതില്‍ ഒഴുകി കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അരുവിയുണ്ട്‌

13. فِيهَا سُرُرٞ مَّرۡفُوعَةٞ

    ✦13

    Within it are couches raised high

    അതില്‍ ഉയര്‍ത്തിവെക്കപ്പെട്ട കട്ടിലുകളും

14. وَأَكۡوَابٞ مَّوۡضُوعَةٞ

    ✦14

    And cups put in place

    തയ്യാറാക്കി വെക്കപ്പെട്ട കോപ്പകളും

15. وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةٞ

    ✦15

    And cushions lined up

    അണിയായി വെക്കപ്പെട്ട തലയണകളും

16. وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ

    ✦16

    And carpets spread around

    വിരിച്ചുവെക്കപ്പെട്ട പരവതാനികളുമുണ്ട്‌

17. أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ

    ✦17

    Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created

    ഒട്ടകത്തിന്‍റെ നേര്‍ക്ക് അവര്‍ നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ? അത് എങ്ങനെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന്‌

18. وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ

    ✦18

    And at the sky - how it is raised

    ആകാശത്തേക്ക് (അവര്‍ നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ?) അത് എങ്ങനെ ഉയര്‍ത്തപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന്‌

19. وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ

    ✦19

    And at the mountains - how they are erected

    പര്‍വ്വതങ്ങളിലേക്ക് (അവര്‍ നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ?) അവ എങ്ങനെ നാട്ടിനിര്‍ത്തപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു വെന്ന്‌

20. وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ

    ✦20

    And at the earth - how it is spread out

    ഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് (അവര്‍ നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ?) അത് എങ്ങനെ പരത്തപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന്‌

21. فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٞ

    ✦21

    So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder

    അതിനാല്‍ (നബിയേ,) നീ ഉല്‍ബോധിപ്പിക്കുക. നീ ഒരു ഉല്‍ബോധകന്‍ മാത്രമാകുന്നു

22. لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ

    ✦22

    You are not over them a controller

    നീ അവരുടെ മേല്‍ അധികാരം ചെലുത്തേണ്ടവനല്ല

23. إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ

    ✦23

    However, he who turns away and disbelieves

    പക്ഷെ, വല്ലവനും തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുകയും, അവിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന പക്ഷം

24. فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ

    ✦24

    Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment

    അല്ലാഹു അവനെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ശിക്ഷ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌

25. إِنَّ إِلَيۡنَآ إِيَابَهُمۡ

    ✦25

    Indeed, to Us is their return

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ അടുത്തേക്കാണ് അവരുടെ മടക്കം

26. ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُم

    ✦26

    Then indeed, upon Us is their account

    പിന്നീട്‌, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ ബാധ്യതയാണ് അവരുടെ വിചാരണ
