الصافات

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفّٗا

   ✦1

   By those [angels] lined up in rows

   ശരിക്ക് അണിനിരന്നു നില്‍ക്കുന്നവരും

2. فَٱلزَّـٰجِرَٰتِ زَجۡرٗا

   ✦2

   And those who drive [the clouds]

   എന്നിട്ട് ശക്തിയായി തടയുന്നവരും

3. فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا

   ✦3

   And those who recite the message

   എന്നിട്ട് കീര്‍ത്തനം ചൊല്ലുന്നവരുമായ മലക്കുകളെ തന്നെയാണ സത്യം

4. إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمۡ لَوَٰحِدٞ

   ✦4

   Indeed, your God is One

   തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം ഏകന്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു

5. رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ

   ✦5

   Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises

   അതെ, ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും അവയ്ക്കിടയിലുള്ളതിന്‍റെയും രക്ഷിതാവും, ഉദയസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവും ആയിട്ടുള്ളവന്‍

6. إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ

   ✦6

   Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars

   തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അടുത്തുള്ള ആകാശത്തെ നാം നക്ഷത്രാലങ്കാരത്താല്‍ മോടിപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു

7. وَحِفۡظٗا مِّن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ مَّارِدٖ

   ✦7

   And as protection against every rebellious devil

   ധിക്കാരിയായ ഏതു പിശാചില്‍ നിന്നും (അതിനെ) സുരക്ഷിതമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു

8. لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ وَيُقۡذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٖ

   ✦8

   [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side

   അത്യുന്നതമായ സമൂഹത്തിന്‍റെ നേരെ അവര്‍ക്ക് (പിശാചുക്കള്‍ക്ക്‌) ചെവികൊടുത്തു കേള്‍ക്കാനാവില്ല. എല്ലാവശത്തു നിന്നും അവര്‍ എറിഞ്ഞ് ഓടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും

9. دُحُورٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ وَاصِبٌ

   ✦9

   Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment

   ബഹിഷ്കൃതരായിക്കൊണ്ട് അവര്‍ക്ക് ശാശ്വതമായ ശിക്ഷയുമുണ്ട്‌

10. إِلَّا مَنۡ خَطِفَ ٱلۡخَطۡفَةَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ ثَاقِبٞ

    ✦10

    Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]

    പക്ഷെ, ആരെങ്കിലും പെട്ടെന്ന് വല്ലതും റാഞ്ചിഎടുക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ തുളച്ച് കടക്കുന്ന ഒരു തീജ്വാല അവനെ പിന്തുടരുന്നതാണ്‌

11. فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَهُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَم مَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَآۚ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٖ لَّازِبِۭ

    ✦11

    Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay

    ആകയാല്‍ (നബിയേ,) നീ അവരോട് (ആ നിഷേധികളോട്‌) അഭിപ്രായം ആരായുക: സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന്‍ ഏറ്റവും പ്രയാസമുള്ളത് അവരെയാണോ, അതല്ല, നാം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള മറ്റു സൃഷ്ടികളെയാണോ? തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നാം അവരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് പശിമയുള്ള കളിമണ്ണില്‍ നിന്നാകുന്നു

12. بَلۡ عَجِبۡتَ وَيَسۡخَرُونَ

    ✦12

    But you wonder, while they mock

    പക്ഷെ, നിനക്ക് അത്ഭുതം തോന്നി. അവരാകട്ടെ പരിഹസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു

13. وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُواْ لَا يَذۡكُرُونَ

    ✦13

    And when they are reminded, they remember not

    അവര്‍ക്ക് ഉപദേശം നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ അവര്‍ ആലോചിക്കുന്നില്ല

14. وَإِذَا رَأَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يَسۡتَسۡخِرُونَ

    ✦14

    And when they see a sign, they ridicule

    അവര്‍ ഏതൊരു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം കണ്ടാലും തമാശയാക്കിക്കളയുന്നു

15. وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٌ

    ✦15

    And say, "This is not but obvious magic

    അവര്‍ പറയും: ഇത് പ്രത്യക്ഷമായ ഒരു ജാലവിദ്യ മാത്രമാകുന്നു എന്ന്‌

16. أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ

    ✦16

    When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

    (അവര്‍ പറയും:) മരിച്ച് മണ്ണും അസ്ഥിശകലങ്ങളുമായിക്കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യുമോ

17. أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ

    ✦17

    And our forefathers [as well]

    ഞങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വപിതാക്കളും (ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുമോ)

18. قُلۡ نَعَمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ دَٰخِرُونَ

    ✦18

    Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible

    പറയുക: അതെ. (അന്ന്‌) നിങ്ങള്‍ അപമാനിതരാകുകയും ചെയ്യും

19. فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةٞ وَٰحِدَةٞ فَإِذَا هُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ

    ✦19

    It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing

    എന്നാല്‍ അത് ഒരു ഘോരശബ്ദം മാത്രമായിരിക്കും. അപ്പോഴതാ അവര്‍ (എഴുന്നേറ്റ് നിന്ന്‌) നോക്കുന്നു

20. وَقَالُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

    ✦20

    They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense

    അവര്‍ പറയും: അഹോ! ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കഷ്ടം! ഇത് പ്രതിഫലത്തിന്‍റെ ദിനമാണല്ലോ

21. هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

    ✦21

    [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny

    (അവര്‍ക്ക് മറുപടി നല്‍കപ്പെടും:) അതെ; നിങ്ങള്‍ നിഷേധിച്ച് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന നിര്‍ണായകമായ തീരുമാനത്തിന്‍റെ ദിവസമത്രെ ഇത്‌

22. ۞ٱحۡشُرُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ

    ✦22

    [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship

    (അപ്പോള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ കല്‍പനയുണ്ടാകും;) അക്രമം ചെയ്തവരെയും അവരുടെ ഇണകളെയും അവര്‍ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നവയെയും നിങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടുക

23. مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهۡدُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦23

    Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire

    അല്ലാഹുവിനു പുറമെ. എന്നിട്ട് അവരെ നിങ്ങള്‍ നരകത്തിന്‍റെ വഴിയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുക

24. وَقِفُوهُمۡۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسۡـُٔولُونَ

    ✦24

    And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned

    അവരെ നിങ്ങളൊന്നു നിര്‍ത്തുക. അവരോട് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു

25. مَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ

    ✦25

    [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other

    നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എന്തുപറ്റി? നിങ്ങള്‍ പരസ്പരം സഹായിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്ന്‌

26. بَلۡ هُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَ

    ✦26

    But they, that Day, are in surrender

    അല്ല, അവര്‍ ആ ദിവസത്തില്‍ കീഴടങ്ങിയവരായിരിക്കും

27. وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

    ✦27

    And they will approach one another blaming each other

    അവരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ ചിലരുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞ് പരസ്പരം ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യും

28. قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ

    ✦28

    They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right

    അവര്‍ പറയും: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്ത് കൈയ്യൂക്കുമായി വന്ന് (ഞങ്ങളെ സത്യത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു)

29. قَالُواْ بَل لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ

    ✦29

    The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers

    അവര്‍ മറുപടി പറയും: അല്ല, നിങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെ വിശ്വാസികളാവാതിരിക്കുകയാണുണ്ടായത്‌

30. وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭۖ بَلۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا طَٰغِينَ

    ✦30

    And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people

    ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല്‍ ഒരധികാരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുമില്ല. പ്രത്യുത, നിങ്ങള്‍ അതിക്രമകാരികളായ ഒരു ജനവിഭാഗമായിരുന്നു

31. فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ

    ✦31

    So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]

    അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ മേല്‍ നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്‍റെ വചനം യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യമായിതീര്‍ന്നു. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നാം (ശിക്ഷ) അനുഭവിക്കാന്‍ പോകുകയാണ്‌

32. فَأَغۡوَيۡنَٰكُمۡ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ

    ✦32

    And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators

    അപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളെ വഴികേടിലെത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.(കാരണം) തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള്‍ വഴിതെറ്റിയവരായിരുന്നു

33. فَإِنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُونَ

    ✦33

    So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment

    അപ്പോള്‍ അന്നേ ദിവസം തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ (ഇരുവിഭാഗവും) ശിക്ഷയില്‍ പങ്കാളികളായിരിക്കും

34. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

    ✦34

    Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നാം കുറ്റവാളികളെക്കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നത് അപ്രകാരമാകുന്നു

35. إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ

    ✦35

    Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant

    അല്ലാഹു അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല എന്ന് അവരോട് പറയപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ അവര്‍ അഹങ്കാരം നടിക്കുമായിരുന്നു

36. وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓاْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٖ مَّجۡنُونِۭ

    ✦36

    And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet

    ഭ്രാന്തനായ ഒരു കവിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് കളയണമോ എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു

37. بَلۡ جَآءَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

    ✦37

    Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers

    അല്ല, സത്യവും കൊണ്ടാണ് അദ്ദേഹം വന്നത്‌. (മുമ്പ് വന്ന) ദൈവദൂതന്‍മാരെ അദ്ദേഹം സത്യപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു

38. إِنَّكُمۡ لَذَآئِقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَلِيمِ

    ✦38

    Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ വേദനയേറിയ ശിക്ഷ ആസ്വദിക്കുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യേണ്ടവരാകുന്നു

39. وَمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

    ✦39

    And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do

    നിങ്ങള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നതിനു മാത്രമേ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കപ്പെടുകയുള്ളു

40. إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

    ✦40

    But not the chosen servants of Allah

    അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ദാസന്‍മാര്‍ ഇതില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒഴിവാകുന്നു

41. أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ

    ✦41

    Those will have a provision determined

    അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവര്‍ക്കാകുന്നു അറിയപ്പെട്ട ഉപജീവനം

42. فَوَٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكۡرَمُونَ

    ✦42

    Fruits; and they will be honored

    വിവിധ തരം പഴവര്‍ഗങ്ങള്‍. അവര്‍ ആദരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരായിരിക്കും

43. فِي جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

    ✦43

    In gardens of pleasure

    സൌഭാഗ്യത്തിന്‍റെ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തോപ്പുകളില്‍

44. عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ

    ✦44

    On thrones facing one another

    അവര്‍ ചില കട്ടിലുകളില്‍ പരസ്പരം അഭിമുഖമായി ഇരിക്കുന്നവരായിരിക്കും

45. يُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم بِكَأۡسٖ مِّن مَّعِينِۭ

    ✦45

    There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring

    ഒരു തരം ഉറവു ജലം നിറച്ച കോപ്പകള്‍ അവരുടെ ചുറ്റും കൊണ്ടു നടക്കപ്പെടും

46. بَيۡضَآءَ لَذَّةٖ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ

    ✦46

    White and delicious to the drinkers

    വെളുത്തതും കുടിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഹൃദ്യവുമായ പാനീയം

47. لَا فِيهَا غَوۡلٞ وَلَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا يُنزَفُونَ

    ✦47

    No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated

    അതില്‍ യാതൊരു ദോഷവുമില്ല. അത് നിമിത്തം അവര്‍ക്ക് ലഹരി ബാധിക്കുകയുമില്ല

48. وَعِندَهُمۡ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ عِينٞ

    ✦48

    And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes

    ദൃഷ്ടി നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നവരും വിശാലമായ കണ്ണുകളുള്ളവരുമായ സ്ത്രീകള്‍ അവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും

49. كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيۡضٞ مَّكۡنُونٞ

    ✦49

    As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected

    സൂക്ഷിച്ചു വെക്കപ്പെട്ട മുട്ടകള്‍ പോലെയിരിക്കും അവര്‍

50. فَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

    ✦50

    And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

    ആ സ്വര്‍ഗവാസികളില്‍ ചിലര്‍ ചിലരുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ട് പരസ്പരം (പല ചോദ്യങ്ങളും) ചോദിക്കും

51. قَالَ قَآئِلٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٞ

    ✦51

    A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]

    അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരു വക്താവ് പറയും: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും എനിക്ക് ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു

52. يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصَدِّقِينَ

    ✦52

    Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe

    അവന്‍ പറയുമായിരുന്നു: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നീ (പരലോകത്തില്‍) വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ തന്നെയാണോ

53. أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابٗا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ

    ✦53

    That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed

    നാം മരിച്ചിട്ട് മണ്ണും അസ്ഥിശകലങ്ങളുമായി കഴിഞ്ഞാലും നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ കര്‍മ്മഫലങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്നതാണോ

54. قَالَ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ

    ✦54

    He will say, "Would you [care to] look

    തുടര്‍ന്ന് ആ വക്താവ് (കൂടെയുള്ളവരോട്‌) പറയും: നിങ്ങള്‍ (ആ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ) എത്തിനോക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ

55. فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِي سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦55

    And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire

    എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം എത്തിനോക്കും. അപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അവനെ നരകത്തിന്‍റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ കാണും

56. قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرۡدِينِ

    ✦56

    He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me

    അദ്ദേഹം (അവനോട്‌) പറയും: അല്ലാഹുവെ തന്നെയാണ! നീ എന്നെ നാശത്തില്‍ അകപ്പെടുത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്തേക്കുമായിരുന്നു

57. وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ

    ✦57

    If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]

    എന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്‍റെ അനുഗ്രഹം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ (ആ നരകത്തില്‍) ഹാജരാക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരില്‍ ഞാനും ഉള്‍പെടുമായിരുന്നു

58. أَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ

    ✦58

    Then, are we not to die

    (സ്വര്‍ഗവാസികള്‍ പറയും:) ഇനി നാം മരണപ്പെടുന്നവരല്ലല്ലോ

59. إِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

    ✦59

    Except for our first death, and we will not be punished

    നമ്മുടെ ആദ്യത്തെ മരണമല്ലാതെ. നാം ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരുമല്ല

60. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

    ✦60

    Indeed, this is the great attainment

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഇതു തന്നെയാണ് മഹത്തായ ഭാഗ്യം

61. لِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ ٱلۡعَٰمِلُونَ

    ✦61

    For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work

    ഇതുപോലെയുള്ളതിന് വേണ്ടിയാകട്ടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്‍മാര്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്‌

62. أَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٞ نُّزُلًا أَمۡ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ

    ✦62

    Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum

    അതാണോ വിശിഷ്ടമായ സല്‍ക്കാരം? അതല്ല സഖ്ഖൂം വൃക്ഷമാണോ

63. إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهَا فِتۡنَةٗ لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

    ✦63

    Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അതിനെ നാം അക്രമകാരികള്‍ക്ക് ഒരു പരീക്ഷണമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു

64. إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٞ تَخۡرُجُ فِيٓ أَصۡلِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦64

    Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire

    നരകത്തിന്‍റെ അടിയില്‍ മുളച്ചു പൊങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു വൃക്ഷമത്രെ അത്‌

65. طَلۡعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ

    ✦65

    Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils

    അതിന്‍റെ കുല പിശാചുക്കളുടെ തലകള്‍ പോലെയിരിക്കും

66. فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَأٓكِلُونَ مِنۡهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ

    ✦66

    And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ അതില്‍ നിന്ന് തിന്ന് വയറ് നിറക്കുന്നവരായിരിക്കും

67. ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبٗا مِّنۡ حَمِيمٖ

    ✦67

    Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water

    പിന്നീട് അവര്‍ക്ക് അതിനു മീതെ ചുട്ടുതിളക്കുന്ന വെള്ളത്തിന്‍റെ ഒരു ചേരുവയുണ്ട്‌

68. ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَإِلَى ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦68

    Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire

    പിന്നീട് തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവരുടെ മടക്കം നരകത്തിലേക്ക് തന്നെയാകുന്നു

69. إِنَّهُمۡ أَلۡفَوۡاْ ءَابَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّينَ

    ✦69

    Indeed they found their fathers astray

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത് വഴിപിഴച്ചവരായിട്ടാണ്‌

70. فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُونَ

    ✦70

    So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps

    അങ്ങനെ ഇവര്‍ അവരുടെ (പിതാക്കളുടെ) കാല്‍പാടുകളിലൂടെ കുതിച്ചു പായുന്നു

71. وَلَقَدۡ ضَلَّ قَبۡلَهُمۡ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

    ✦71

    And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples

    ഇവര്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പ് പൂര്‍വ്വികരില്‍ അധികപേരും വഴിപിഴച്ചു പോകുക തന്നെയാണുണ്ടായത്‌

72. وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ

    ✦72

    And We had already sent among them warners

    അവരില്‍ നാം താക്കീതുകാരെ നിയോഗിക്കുകയുമുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്‌

73. فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ

    ✦73

    Then look how was the end of those who were warned

    എന്നിട്ട് നോക്കൂ; ആ താക്കീത് നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ പര്യവസാനം എങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു വെന്ന്‌

74. إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

    ✦74

    But not the chosen servants of Allah

    അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ദാസന്‍മാര്‍ ഒഴികെ

75. وَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٞ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِيبُونَ

    ✦75

    And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders

    നൂഹ് നമ്മെ വിളിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. അപ്പോള്‍ ഉത്തരം നല്‍കിയവന്‍ എത്ര നല്ലവന്‍

76. وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

    ✦76

    And We saved him and his family from the great affliction

    അദ്ദേഹത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ ആളുകളെയും നാം വമ്പിച്ച ദുരന്തത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി

77. وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلۡبَاقِينَ

    ✦77

    And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]

    അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ സന്തതികളെ നാം (ഭൂമിയില്‍) നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നവരാക്കുകയും

78. وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

    ✦78

    And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

    പില്‍ക്കാലത്ത് വന്നവരില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെപറ്റിയുള്ള സല്‍കീര്‍ത്തി നാം അവശേഷിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

79. سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٖ فِي ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

    ✦79

    Peace upon Noah among the worlds

    ലോകരില്‍ നൂഹിന് സമാധാനം

80. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

    ✦80

    Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അപ്രകാരമാണ് സദ്‌വൃത്തന്‍മാര്‍ക്ക് നാം പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നത്‌

81. إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

    ✦81

    Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അദ്ദേഹം നമ്മുടെ സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ ദാസന്‍മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാകുന്നു

82. ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

    ✦82

    Then We drowned the disbelievers

    പിന്നീട് നാം മറ്റുള്ളവരെ മുക്കിനശിപ്പിച്ചു

83. ۞وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

    ✦83

    And indeed, among his kind was Abraham

    തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ കക്ഷികളില്‍ പെട്ട ആള്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു ഇബ്രാഹീം

84. إِذۡ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٍ

    ✦84

    When he came to his Lord with a sound heart

    നിഷ്കളങ്കമായ ഹൃദയത്തോടു കൂടി അദ്ദേഹം തന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കല്‍ വന്ന സന്ദര്‍ഭം (ശ്രദ്ധേയമാകുന്നു)

85. إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

    ✦85

    [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship

    തന്‍റെ പിതാവിനോടും ജനതയോടും അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞ സന്ദര്‍ഭം: എന്തൊന്നിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങള്‍ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത്‌

86. أَئِفۡكًا ءَالِهَةٗ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ

    ✦86

    Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire

    അല്ലാഹുവിന്നു പുറമെ വ്യാജമായി നിങ്ങള്‍ മറ്റു ദൈവങ്ങളെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയാണോ

87. فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

    ✦87

    Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds

    അപ്പോള്‍ ലോകരക്ഷിതാവിനെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങളുടെ വിചാരമെന്താണ്‌

88. فَنَظَرَ نَظۡرَةٗ فِي ٱلنُّجُومِ

    ✦88

    And he cast a look at the stars

    എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ ഒരു നോട്ടം നോക്കി

89. فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٞ

    ✦89

    And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill

    തുടര്‍ന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും എനിക്ക് അസുഖമാകുന്നു

90. فَتَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ مُدۡبِرِينَ

    ✦90

    So they turned away from him, departing

    അപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിട്ട് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു പോയി

91. فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمۡ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ

    ✦91

    Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat

    എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ ദൈവങ്ങളുടെ നേര്‍ക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്‍ തിന്നുന്നില്ലേ

92. مَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنطِقُونَ

    ✦92

    What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak

    നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കെന്തുപറ്റി? നിങ്ങള്‍ മിണ്ടുന്നില്ലല്ലോ

93. فَرَاغَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضَرۡبَۢا بِٱلۡيَمِينِ

    ✦93

    And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand

    തുടര്‍ന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അവയുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു വലതുകൈ കൊണ്ട് ഊക്കോടെ അവയെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു

94. فَأَقۡبَلُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ يَزِفُّونَ

    ✦94

    Then the people came toward him, hastening

    എന്നിട്ട് അവര്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ അടുത്തേക്ക് കുതിച്ച് ചെന്നു

95. قَالَ أَتَعۡبُدُونَ مَا تَنۡحِتُونَ

    ✦95

    He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve

    അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെ കൊത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവയെയാണോ നിങ്ങള്‍ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത്‌

96. وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ

    ✦96

    While Allah created you and that which you do

    അല്ലാഹുവാണല്ലോ നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കുന്നവയെയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്‌

97. قَالُواْ ٱبۡنُواْ لَهُۥ بُنۡيَٰنٗا فَأَلۡقُوهُ فِي ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

    ✦97

    They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire

    അവര്‍ (അന്യോന്യം) പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്‍ അവന്ന് (ഇബ്രാഹീമിന്‌) വേണ്ടി ഒരു ചൂള പണിയുക. എന്നിട്ടവനെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയില്‍ ഇട്ടേക്കുക

98. فَأَرَادُواْ بِهِۦ كَيۡدٗا فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡأَسۡفَلِينَ

    ✦98

    And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased

    അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ അവര്‍ ഒരു തന്ത്രം ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ നാം അവരെ ഏറ്റവും അധമന്‍മാരാക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌

99. وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ

    ✦99

    And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me

    അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞാന്‍ എന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കലേക്ക് പോകുകയാണ്‌. അവന്‍ എനിക്ക് വഴി കാണിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌

100. رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

     ✦100

     My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous

     എന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, സദ്‌വൃത്തരില്‍ ഒരാളെ നീ എനിക്ക് (പുത്രനായി) പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യേണമേ

101. فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٖ

     ✦101

     So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy

     അപ്പോള്‍ സഹനശീലനായ ഒരു ബാലനെപ്പറ്റി നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് സന്തോഷവാര്‍ത്ത അറിയിച്ചു

102. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعۡيَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡمَنَامِ أَنِّيٓ أَذۡبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرَىٰۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُۖ سَتَجِدُنِيٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

     ✦102

     And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast

     എന്നിട്ട് ആ ബാലന്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം പ്രയത്നിക്കാനുള്ള പ്രായമെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ കുഞ്ഞുമകനേ! ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അറുക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാന്‍ സ്വപ്നത്തില്‍ കാണുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് നോക്കൂ: നീ എന്താണ് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെടുന്നത്‌? അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ പിതാവേ, കല്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതെന്തോ അത് താങ്കള്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളുക. അല്ലാഹു ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം ക്ഷമാശീലരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ താങ്കള്‍ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതാണ്‌

103. فَلَمَّآ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِينِ

     ✦103

     And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead

     അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ഇരുവരും (കല്‍പനക്ക്‌) കീഴ്പെടുകയും, അവനെ നെറ്റി (ചെന്നി) മേല്‍ ചെരിച്ചു കിടത്തുകയും ചെയ്ത സന്ദര്‍ഭം

104. وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ

     ✦104

     We called to him, "O Abraham

     നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു: ഹേ! ഇബ്രാഹീം

105. قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ ٱلرُّءۡيَآۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

     ✦105

     You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നീ സ്വപ്നം സാക്ഷാത്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അപ്രകാരമാണ് നാം സദ്‌വൃത്തര്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നത്‌

106. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡبَلَـٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

     ✦106

     Indeed, this was the clear trial

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഇത് സ്പഷ്ടമായ പരീക്ഷണം തന്നെയാണ്‌

107. وَفَدَيۡنَٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِيمٖ

     ✦107

     And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice

     അവന്ന് പകരം ബലിയര്‍പ്പിക്കാനായി മഹത്തായ ഒരു ബലിമൃഗത്തെ നാം നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്തു

108. وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

     ✦108

     And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

     പില്‍ക്കാലക്കാരില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ (ഇബ്രാഹീമിന്‍റെ) സല്‍കീര്‍ത്തി നാം അവശേഷിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

109. سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ

     ✦109

     Peace upon Abraham

     ഇബ്രാഹീമിന് സമാധാനം

110. كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

     ✦110

     Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

     അപ്രകാരമാണ് നാം സദ്‌വൃത്തര്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നത്‌

111. إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

     ✦111

     Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

     തീര്‍ച്ചയയും അദ്ദേഹം നമ്മുടെ സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ ദാസന്‍മാരില്‍ പെട്ടവനാകുന്നു

112. وَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِإِسۡحَٰقَ نَبِيّٗا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

     ✦112

     And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous

     ഇഷാഖ് എന്ന മകന്‍റെ ജനനത്തെപ്പറ്റിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നാം സന്തോഷവാര്‍ത്ത അറിയിച്ചു. സദ്‌വൃത്തരില്‍ പെട്ട ഒരു പ്രവാചകന്‍ എന്ന നിലയില്‍

113. وَبَٰرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسۡحَٰقَۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحۡسِنٞ وَظَالِمٞ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ مُبِينٞ

     ✦113

     And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself

     അദ്ദേഹത്തിനും ഇഷാഖിനും നാം അനുഗ്രഹം നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവര്‍ ഇരുവരുടെയും സന്തതികളില്‍ സദ്‌വൃത്തരുണ്ട്‌. സ്വന്തത്തോട് തന്നെ സ്പഷ്ടമായ അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നവരുമുണ്ട്‌

114. وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

     ✦114

     And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും മൂസായോടും ഹാറൂനോടും നാം ഔദാര്യം കാണിച്ചു

115. وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ

     ✦115

     And We saved them and their people from the great affliction

     അവര്‍ ഇരുവരെയും അവരുടെ ജനതയെയും മഹാദുരിതത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് നാം രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു

116. وَنَصَرۡنَٰهُمۡ فَكَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ

     ✦116

     And We supported them so it was they who overcame

     അവരെ നാം സഹായിക്കുകയും അങ്ങനെ വിജയികള്‍ അവര്‍ തന്നെ ആകുകയും ചെയ്തു

117. وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَبِينَ

     ✦117

     And We gave them the explicit Scripture

     അവര്‍ക്ക് രണ്ടുപേര്‍ക്കും നാം (കാര്യങ്ങള്‍) വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥം നല്‍കുകയും

118. وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ

     ✦118

     And We guided them on the straight path

     അവരെ നേരായ പാതയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

119. وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

     ✦119

     And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations

     പില്‍ക്കാലക്കാരില്‍ അവരുടെ സല്‍കീര്‍ത്തി നാം അവശേഷിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

120. سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

     ✦120

     Peace upon Moses and Aaron

     മൂസായ്ക്കും ഹാറൂന്നും സമാധാനം

121. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

     ✦121

     Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അപ്രകാരമാകുന്നു സദ്‌വൃത്തര്‍ക്ക് നാം പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നത്‌

122. إِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

     ✦122

     Indeed, they were of Our believing servants

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ ഇരുവരും നമ്മുടെ സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ ദാസന്‍മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാകുന്നു

123. وَإِنَّ إِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

     ✦123

     And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers

     ഇല്‍യാസും ദൂതന്‍മാരിലൊരാള്‍ തന്നെ

124. إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

     ✦124

     When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah

     അദ്ദേഹം തന്‍റെ ജനതയോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞ സന്ദര്‍ഭം: നിങ്ങള്‍ സൂക്ഷ്മത പാലിക്കുന്നില്ലേ

125. أَتَدۡعُونَ بَعۡلٗا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ

     ✦125

     Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators

     നിങ്ങള്‍ ബഅ്ല‍ൈന്‍ വിളിച്ച് പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുകയും, ഏറ്റവും നല്ല സൃഷ്ടികര്‍ത്താവിനെ വിട്ടുകളയുകയുമാണോ

126. ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

     ✦126

     Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers

     അഥവാ നിങ്ങളുടെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വപിതാക്കളുടെയും രക്ഷിതാവായ അല്ലാഹുവെ

127. فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ

     ✦127

     And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment]

     അപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നിഷേധിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു. അതിനാല്‍ അവര്‍ (ശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക്‌) ഹാജരാക്കപ്പെടുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും

128. إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

     ✦128

     Except the chosen servants of Allah

     അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ദാസന്‍മാര്‍ ഒഴികെ

129. وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

     ✦129

     And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

     പില്‍ക്കാലക്കാരില്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ സല്‍കീര്‍ത്തി നാം അവശേഷിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

130. سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلۡ يَاسِينَ

     ✦130

     Peace upon Elias

     ഇല്‍യാസിന് സമാധാനം

131. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

     ✦131

     Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അപ്രകാരമാകുന്നു സദ്‌വൃത്തര്‍ക്ക് നാം പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കുന്നത്‌

132. إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

     ✦132

     Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അദ്ദേഹം നമ്മുടെ സത്യവിശ്വാസികളായ ദാസന്‍മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാകുന്നു

133. وَإِنَّ لُوطٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

     ✦133

     And indeed, Lot was among the messengers

     ലൂത്വും ദൂതന്‍മാരിലൊരാള്‍ തന്നെ

134. إِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ

     ✦134

     [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all

     അദ്ദേഹത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ ആളുകളേയും മുഴുവന്‍ നാം രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തിയ സന്ദര്‍ഭം (ശ്രദ്ധേയമത്രെ)

135. إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

     ✦135

     Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]

     പിന്‍മാറി നിന്നവരില്‍പ്പെട്ട ഒരു കിഴവിയൊഴികെ

136. ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

     ✦136

     Then We destroyed the others

     പിന്നെ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ നാം തകര്‍ത്തു കളഞ്ഞു

137. وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيۡهِم مُّصۡبِحِينَ

     ✦137

     And indeed, you pass by them in the morning

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ രാവിലെ അവരുടെ അടുത്തു കൂടി കടന്നു പോവാറുണ്ട്‌

138. وَبِٱلَّيۡلِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

     ✦138

     And at night. Then will you not use reason

     രാത്രിയിലും. എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള്‍ ചിന്തിച്ച് ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലേ

139. وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

     ✦139

     And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers

     യൂനുസും ദൂതന്‍മാരിലൊരാള്‍ തന്നെ

140. إِذۡ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ

     ✦140

     [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship

     അദ്ദേഹം ഭാരം നിറച്ച കപ്പലിലേക്ക് ഒളിച്ചോടിയ സന്ദര്‍ഭം (ശ്രദ്ധേയമത്രെ)

141. فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُدۡحَضِينَ

     ✦141

     And he drew lots and was among the losers

     എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം (കപ്പല്‍ യാത്രക്കാരോടൊപ്പം) നറുക്കെടുപ്പില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. അപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം പരാജിതരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായിപോയി

142. فَٱلۡتَقَمَهُ ٱلۡحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ

     ✦142

     Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy

     അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം ആക്ഷേപത്തിന് അര്‍ഹനായിരിക്കെ ആ വന്‍മത്സ്യം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങി

143. فَلَوۡلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحِينَ

     ✦143

     And had he not been of those who exalt Allah

     എന്നാല്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ പരിശുദ്ധിയെ പ്രകീര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍

144. لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطۡنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

     ✦144

     He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected

     ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ദിവസം വരെ അതിന്‍റെ വയറ്റില്‍ തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കഴിഞ്ഞ് കൂടേണ്ടി വരുമായിരുന്നു

145. ۞فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٞ

     ✦145

     But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill

     എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അനാരോഗ്യവാനായ നിലയില്‍ തുറന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് നാം തള്ളി

146. وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ شَجَرَةٗ مِّن يَقۡطِينٖ

     ✦146

     And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine

     അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ മേല്‍ നാം യഖ്ത്വീന്‍ വൃക്ഷം മുളപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു

147. وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ

     ✦147

     And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more

     അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നാം ഒരു ലക്ഷമോ അതിലധികമോ വരുന്ന ജനവിഭാഗത്തിലേക്ക് നിയോഗിച്ചു

148. فَـَٔامَنُواْ فَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينٖ

     ✦148

     And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time

     അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും തല്‍ഫലമായി കുറെ കാലത്തേക്ക് അവര്‍ക്ക് നാം സുഖജീവിതം നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്തു

149. فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ

     ✦149

     So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons

     എന്നാല്‍ (നബിയേ,) നീ അവരോട് (ബഹുദൈവവിശ്വാസികളോട്‌) അഭിപ്രായം ആരായുക; നിന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന് പെണ്‍മക്കളും അവര്‍ക്ക് ആണ്‍മക്കളുമാണോ എന്ന്‌

150. أَمۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثٗا وَهُمۡ شَٰهِدُونَ

     ✦150

     Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses

     അതല്ല നാം മലക്കുകളെ സ്ത്രീകളായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതിന് അവര്‍ ദൃക്സാക്ഷികളായിരുന്നോ

151. أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنۡ إِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ

     ✦151

     Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say

     അറിഞ്ഞേക്കുക: അവര്‍ പറയുന്നത് തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവരുടെ വ്യാജനിര്‍മിതിയില്‍ പെട്ടതാകുന്നു

152. وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ

     ✦152

     Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars

     അല്ലാഹു സന്തതികള്‍ക്കു ജന്‍മം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന്‌. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ കള്ളം പറയുന്നവര്‍ തന്നെയാകുന്നു

153. أَصۡطَفَى ٱلۡبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلۡبَنِينَ

     ✦153

     Has He chosen daughters over sons

     ആണ്‍മക്കളെക്കാളുപരിയായി അവന്‍ പെണ്‍മക്കളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തുവെന്നോ

154. مَا لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ

     ✦154

     What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement

     നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കെന്തുപറ്റി? എപ്രകാരമാണ് നിങ്ങള്‍ വിധികല്‍പിക്കുന്നത്‌

155. أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

     ✦155

     Then will you not be reminded

     നിങ്ങള്‍ ആലോചിച്ച് നോക്കുന്നില്ലേ

156. أَمۡ لَكُمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٞ مُّبِينٞ

     ✦156

     Or do you have a clear authority

     അതല്ല, വ്യക്തമായ വല്ല പ്രമാണവും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കിട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ

157. فَأۡتُواْ بِكِتَٰبِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ

     ✦157

     Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful

     എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ രേഖ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന്‍; നിങ്ങള്‍ സത്യവാന്‍മാരാണെങ്കില്‍

158. وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ

     ✦158

     And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]

     അല്ലാഹുവിനും ജിന്നുകള്‍ക്കുമിടയില്‍ അവര്‍ കുടുംബബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും തങ്ങള്‍ ശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക് ഹാജരാക്കപ്പെടുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് ജിന്നുകള്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്‌

159. سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

     ✦159

     Exalted is Allah above what they describe

     അവര്‍ ചമച്ചു പറയുന്നതില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം അല്ലാഹു എത്രയോ പരിശുദ്ധന്‍

160. إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

     ✦160

     Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]

     എന്നാല്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ദാസന്‍മാര്‍ (ഇതില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം) ഒഴിവാകുന്നു

161. فَإِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ

     ✦161

     So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship

     എന്നാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്തിനെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നുവോ അവയ്ക്കും

162. مَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ

     ✦162

     You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him

     അല്ലാഹുവിന്നെതിരായി (ആരെയും) കുഴപ്പത്തിലാക്കാനാവില്ല; തീര്‍ച്ച

163. إِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ

     ✦163

     Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire

     നരകത്തില്‍ വെന്തെരിയാന്‍ പോകുന്നവനാരോ അവനെയല്ലാതെ

164. وَمَامِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ

     ✦164

     [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position

     (മലക്കുകള്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയും:) നിശ്ചിതമായ ഓരോ സ്ഥാനമുള്ളവരായിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഞങ്ങളില്‍ ആരും തന്നെയില്ല

165. وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ

     ✦165

     And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെയാണ് അണിനിരന്ന് നില്‍ക്കുന്നവര്‍

166. وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحُونَ

     ✦166

     And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെയാണ് (അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ) പരിശുദ്ധിയെ പ്രകീര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്‍

167. وَإِن كَانُواْ لَيَقُولُونَ

     ✦167

     And indeed, the disbelievers used to say

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ (സത്യനിഷേധികള്‍) ഇപ്രകാരം പറയാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു

168. لَوۡ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكۡرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

     ✦168

     If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples

     പൂര്‍വ്വികന്‍മാരില്‍ നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ച വല്ല ഉല്‍ബോധനവും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കല്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍

169. لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

     ✦169

     We would have been the chosen servants of Allah

     ഞങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കരായ ദാസന്‍മാരാവുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു

170. فَكَفَرُواْ بِهِۦۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ

     ✦170

     But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know

     എന്നിട്ട് അവര്‍ ഇതില്‍ (ഈ വേദഗ്രന്ഥത്തില്‍) അവിശ്വസിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്‌. അതിനാല്‍ അവര്‍ പിന്നീട് (കാര്യം) മനസ്സിലാക്കിക്കൊള്ളും

171. وَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

     ✦171

     And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers

     ദൂതന്‍മാരായി നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട നമ്മുടെ ദാസന്‍മാരോട് നമ്മുടെ വചനം മുമ്പേ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്‌

172. إِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ ٱلۡمَنصُورُونَ

     ✦172

     [That] indeed, they would be those given victory

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അവര്‍ തന്നെയായിരിക്കും സഹായം നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്നവരെന്നും

173. وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ

     ✦173

     And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome

     തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ സൈന്യം തന്നെയാണ് ജേതാക്കളായിരിക്കുക എന്നും

174. فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ

     ✦174

     So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time

     അതിനാല്‍ ഒരു അവധി വരെ നീ അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുക

175. وَأَبۡصِرۡهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ

     ✦175

     And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see

     നീ അവരെ വീക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. അവര്‍ പിന്നീട് കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളും

176. أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

     ✦176

     Then for Our punishment are they impatient

     അപ്പോള്‍ നമ്മുടെ ശിക്ഷയുടെ കാര്യത്തിലാണോ അവര്‍ തിടുക്കം കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്‌

177. فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمۡ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ

     ✦177

     But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned

     എന്നാല്‍ അത് അവരുടെ മുറ്റത്ത് വന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിയാല്‍ ആ താക്കീത് നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ പ്രഭാതം എത്ര മോശമായിരിക്കും

178. وَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ

     ✦178

     And leave them for a time

     (അതിനാല്‍) ഒരു അവധി വരെ നീ അവരില്‍ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുക

179. وَأَبۡصِرۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ

     ✦179

     And see, for they are going to see

     നീ വീക്ഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. അവര്‍ പിന്നീട് കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളും

180. سُبۡحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلۡعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

     ✦180

     Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe

     പ്രതാപത്തിന്‍റെ നാഥനായ നിന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് അവര്‍ ചമച്ചു പറയുന്നതില്‍ നിന്നെല്ലാം എത്ര പരിശുദ്ധന്‍

181. وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

     ✦181

     And peace upon the messengers

     ദൂതന്‍മാര്‍ക്കു സമാധാനം

182. وَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

     ✦182

     And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds

     ലോകരക്ഷിതാവായ അല്ലാഹുവിന് സ്തുതി
